I would really love to make a pair of mittens but I've looked at so many mitten patterns that they are all looking a like. LOL. Ssssssooooooo, I would love to hear your suggestions. If you made mittens, which ones did you make, did you really like the pattern, what yarn did you use and all that stuff. I'm afraid that by the time I decide on a pair, it will be Spring the rate I'm going.

Thanks I can't wait to hear your suggestions.

it does seem like they're all kinda the same. I have the pattern for the Main Morning Mitts then instead of knitting them as "written" I made some changes and made "my own" mittens,I closed off the top and "bingo". I love to experiment!

My first pair was a pair of fingerless mitts. I just loved knitting them. I actually used a Mountain Colors pattern, Sailor's Rib Fingerless Mittens. I used it as a guideline. I didn't do the stitch pattern but chose to do a basic stockinette stitch to make it easier. I'm on my fourth pair now and just love making them. I still haven't branched out to a more difficult pattern.
Btw, I will be in your neck of the woods in August. I love visiting the Smoky Mountain Spinnery. Was there last year and can't wait to visit again.
