This morning at 9:45 AM my German Shepherd, best friend, protector and divine keeper of all my secrets, passed away. He was almost 11 years old. He had a great spirit and taught me so much about life, focus, love, and commitment to people and to actions and the power of truth. This is one of my favorite photos. Shadow Walker's mind was perfect, but his body let him down. In his pedigree there were several K9, search and rescue and therapy dogs so he came from good temperament breeding. Unfortunately he had dysplasia in both the hips and his shoulders. He lived 5 years beyond what the vet wanted. He is free and happy now and I will always love him.

I am so sorry to hear that!!! It is never easy losing a loved one in your family.. They are much like family and are treated with dignity and respect.. I hope his wonderful membories with you and your family live on forever...
So sorry to read about the loss of your Shadow Walker. Cherish the memories you have of the time he spent with you.
I'm so sorry. I still miss my Sparky. He will always be in your heart.
I am so very sorry your dear friend died. They are so much a part of our family aren't they. May God comfort you during your time of grief.
