Knitting can be an "Awakening" experience (Satori). I hope that Knitting Satori can be a place where those awakenings can be shared and passed on to others.
Smoky Mountain Colors

Another child's hat done! The photo isn't too good, The colors are a real deep royal purple and a contrasting light purple. Made from left over Micro Spun on size 7 needles. (which are turning out to be my favorite.)
Thank you for the compliment. No I don't use a pattern, I just wing it. I use size 7 double point bamboo needles. I use to use circulars but for some reason the double points work better for me. Most of the time I CO around 80-84 stitches. I tend to knit a little tight with some yarns so I allow the extra stitches to help with that. When it comes to the pattern I just choose the colors and when I feel the need to change I do. Lately I have been thinking about adding some color patterns to my web site for hats. Some simple ones that the knitter can then use to launch other patterns and get creative themselves with.
Anyway, Thank you again for the compliment and I hope you many hours of great knitting.

Your hats are so beautiful and you turn them out so quickly! Do you use a pattern?
