This is the first time I have used this yarn and I am really enjoying how it knits up. Now for your opinion. Tell me what you like or don't like about this yarn and how your socks turned out. My biggest question is did they last longer than wearing them 2 times. Believe it or not I have made socks with some expensive sock yarn and worn them twice and found the heels worn. (Durability -100)
By the way, I've just about finished writing out the patterns for the Ribbon Scarf and Lap afghan. Hopefully after the 4th I will post them.
Have a great week and an awesome 4th of July!

I've heard.. (because I haven't knit any of my Lorna's up yet) that you need to knit them on a size 0 needle to get the proper wear out of them. The pair of handknit Lorna's socks that I was gifted last year seem to have held up through multiple wearings.. though the knitter used a 0 and has a very tight gauge to begin with.
I LOVE the way that is striping up and I can't wait to play with my skeins of Black PUrl!
I've made at least 3 pr. socks out of this yarn and love it! Didn't have to use US 0s. Machine washable, no pilling. Wonderful stuff. For my favorite sock yarn, this is in the top 3.
I haven't been knitting socks. I have some Lorna Laces in my stash just begging for some luvin' so I can't really give you an opinion. I notice when wearing Crocs, I tend to wear out my socks faster, both store bought and hand knitted.
Thats the yarn I have been wanting to buy!!!! I keep telling myself to wait because I have so many projects going on but I LOVE the yarn its so pretty all my fave colors.
LOVE the black purl! I have yet to complete the socks that I have started with my Lornas Laces but I love the way that it knits and looks, so far.
that Black Purl is very nice. i haven't had any problems with my LL socks, either.
