Knitting can be an "Awakening" experience (Satori). I hope that Knitting Satori can be a place where those awakenings can be shared and passed on to others.

Felted vase
This week, I've been working on and off on a few of projects, the extra large Booga Bag, this felted vase and the shrug I want to give away. Well, I'm still working on the 5" of ribbing for the shrug and this last night I felted the vase. I have to say that I don't like it. I don't like the "hairy-ness" of the yarn. When I pulled it out of the washer I thought "I need to go get a razor and shave it. " Since I didn't want a lot of design on it, I didn't do the sewing designs that it called for and I'm glad that I didn't because that would have made it even more hairy. So chalk it up to experimentation and go on to the next. Maybe I'll like it better when it's dry and I can do something with it.

I think it turned out great.. I think you should go buy some bright fake flowers and stuff that vase full it will be just perfect!!
The vase looks cool, I think. The "hairiness" gives it character. And your felted bag is also nice.
Ive been looking for a felted vase pattern.
Can you give me the link to that one or something?
I purchased the pattern from www.patternworks.com . It's a Plymouth Yarn pattern. I did a search for "felted" I think anyway, you'll find the pattern easily there.
